Advent Ziekenhuis is part of a chain of some 500 Seventh-day Adventist health-care institutions around the world. While the institutions are well aligned with each other, each one functions independently, each providing a holistic package of services tailored to the communities in which they serve.
Position:
As a key member of the Management team, the Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the CEO and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling financial-related activities of the hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization
- Ensure timely accounting closing and periodic reporting
- Provide management and the Board of Directors with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
- Provide leadership in the development of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Required: Bachelors of Science in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) with at least 4 years of
relevant experience.
Preferred: MBA with specialty in Finance or relevant specialty and min. 3 years relevant experience
Personal Attributes:
- Proven leadership ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing. - Strong problem solving and creative skills.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Affinity with Information technology.
- Knowledge of languages (English, Dutch, Papiamentu, and Spanish) a pre.
